Introduction
Following the tragic play of Romeo and Juliet, a unique play which was written by a renowned play writer in the world, William Shakespeare, during the era of Elizabethan, illustrates a couple's unfortunate tragic death. The play is about the issue of love between the characters of the play, with its hatred, selflessness, darkness, and transformative power, which is illustrated by the conflict between families of the lovers. The author creates characters that are very complicated in the play, the likes of Romeo, with layered characteristics and personalities via his use of the techniques of language to come up with dilemmas and issues which are invoking in the play (Van Peer, 138). For example, the person who was responsible for the death of the love who had been wedded, consequently involving the audience in high-interest issues, which in turn result in the audience response.
Development of Feelings
The play begins with illustrating that Romeo is depressed and dark due to the development of emotional feelings towards a girl who fails to reciprocate to his feelings, the lacks feelings for Romeo. The girl in the play is Rosaline. The feelings of Romeo towards the girl grow up, and he is seen to be crazy about the girl, Rosaline, who, in turn, cares less regarding anything which is associated with Romeo. Rosaline does not have any intentions to love Romeo back. He does not have any intention of getting married to him nor have children with him. However, Romeo is blinded by his feelings towards Rosaline, and he does not take the truth that she does not love him, which makes him suffer from deep depression.
Later Romeo meets Juliet, and the play is developed on the story of the two. In the movie, the story is a classic one that involves Romeo and Juliet on Verona Beach. The two lovers fall in love and develop feelings the first time they meet each other. However, due to the conflicts of their families, they are required to remain to be enemies, just like the members of their families. The love of the two crashes with their families’ powerful hatred due to the dominant desires of the feelings which the two develops (Lewis, 30), From the perspective of the audience the families were supposed to see a reason to solve their conflict due to the intense love which was demonstrated by the two lovers. The families were supposed to oversee the light to resolve their conflicts. These would have made it possible for Romeo and Juliet to wed publicly and live happily after, however, the powerful hatred of the Montague-Capulet was too much to be overcome by the power of their love in the play (Gonçalves, 120). The play's world is imperfect since the freedom of everything is not a realistic objective except the pure love which is demonstrated by Romeo and Juliet. At long last, the love of the two resolves the conflict of the two families, although the price is very tragic since the pay with their lives.
Conclusion
Romeo and Juliet are among the pieces of great work in literature which were written by William Shakespeare in the 1950s. In Romeo and Juliet, the author illustrated a short term admiration and true love between Romeo and Rosaline, Juliet and Paris, and Romeo and Juliet. Hence the play by William illustrates compassionate love, which is real and short term affection. The families are actively involved in the play, Juliet's family thought it would be good if they choose the person to spend the rest of life with their daughter although it does not turn out to be a genuine love relationship.
